Hyde Park Winter Wonderland is a large annual Christmas event held in Hyde Park, London, typically from mid-November to early January each year. It is one of the biggest, and most well-attended such events in the world, featuring several festive markets, over 100 rides and attractions from across Europe, a Giant Wheel, numerous live shows, including a circus, ice show, and live music, as well as numerous bars and restaurants. Since its launch in 2007, Winter Wonderland has attracted 14 million visitors.

The event is open from 10am to 10pm each day, except for opening day, and Christmas Day. The main entrance is near Marble Arch, with secondary entrances on Serpentine Road

Located in the heart of London, get ready to fully immerse yourself in all things festive from 21st November 2019 to 5th January 2020. Open at 4pm on Thursday 21st November, Winter Wonderland is then open every day from 10am to 10pm. Offering an array of attractions, activities and entertainment for visitors of all ages – there really is something for everyone!

Winter Wonderland is FREE to enter and this year we’ve got loads in store with exciting new attractions including the world’s tallest transportable Observation Wheel, a new theme ‘A Christmas Carol’ at the Magical Ice Kingdom, a Season Ride Pass, Paddington™ on Ice, Mr. Men & Little Miss and a fantastic new programme of comics at the Winter Wonderland Comedy Club. Let’s not forget our returning favourites including the UK’s largest open-air ice rink, funky new après ski vibes at Bar Ice and jaw dropping acts in the Circus MegaDome!

Mornings are great for families where you can enjoy Winter Wonderland at a leisurely pace. At night, Hyde Park is transformed by thousands of sparkling lights, so enjoy a mulled wine or Bavarian beer and join in the festive atmosphere.

With over 100 spectacular rides and attractions, thrilling shows, London’s biggest Christmas Market, Santa Land, which is a whole area dedicated to little ones, restaurants, cafes and themed bars, this Christmas extravaganza will keep you topped up with festive cheer!

WHAT TIME IS WINTER WONDERLAND OPEN?

HOW CAN WE GET TO WINTER WONDERLAND?

Winter Wonderland is located in Hyde Park, London W2 2UH

Winter Wonderland is a short walk from the following London Underground stations:

Green Park (Victoria, Jubilee and Piccadilly lines)
Victoria (Victoria line and National Rail)
Paddington (Bakerloo, Metropolitan, Circle & District lines and National Rail)

Please note: Hyde Park Corner and Marble Arch tube stations get very busy during peak times, please use alternative stations.

Green Park is a step-free station with lift access so those with children or with mobility impairments may find it easier using this station.

HOW LONG DO THE ATTRACTIONS LAST FOR?

Ice Skating sessions are 50 minutes long (please arrive 20 minutes in advance to get your skates on!)
The Magical Ice Kingdom presents A Christmas Carol is a walk-through attraction which you can walk around at your leisure. The normal duration is approximately 30 minutes. You will need to choose a time slot before booking. Last admission is at 21.30.
The running time for Paddington on Ice is approximately 55 minutes
Bar Hütte is booked for a duration of 1 hour and 50 minutes between 10.00 and 20.00. Sessions begin on the hour, every two hours
A ride on The Giant Wheel lasts for 10 minutes (the last flight is at 21.45)
The running time for the Mr Men and Little Miss – The Show (11am only) is approximately 45 minutes
Zippos Christmas Circus and Cirque Berserk shows are approximately 45 minutes in length. Please arrive 20 minutes before the show starts
Bar Ice sessions are 20 minutes long. You must choose a time slot before booking. The last session is at 21.20 and the bar will stop service at 21.45
The Ice Sculpting Workshop is a 40 minute session and your ticket includes entry into The Magical Ice Kingdom.

DO I HAVE TO PAY TO GET INTO WINTER WONDERLAND?

No! Winter Wonderland has no admission fee – you can enter for free and soak up the festive atmosphere and only pay for the attractions you choose. The pre-bookable attractions – Ice Skating, Magical Ice Kingdom, Ice Sculpting Workshops, Giant Wheel, Paddington on Ice, Bar Hutte, Zippos Christmas Circus, Cirque Berserk, Bar Ice, Winter Wonderland Comedy Club, and Mr Men & Little Miss – The Show– get fully booked during peak times so we strongly recommend that you book ahead. You will need tokens for the rides, available from the token booths on site. Ride tokens are only valid on the day of purchase. To purchase ride tokens in advance for groups only, please call us on 0208 2335400. All rides offer a tap and ride facility where you can use contactless payment to ride.

WHAT ABOUT FOOD, DRINK AND SHOPPING?

All of the many bars, cafes, restaurants and shops accept cash and some accept cards. Food and drink prices vary depending on whether it’s a table service indoor restaurant or take-away chalet, but we hope we have provided for all tastes and budgets – from Bavarian-style food and drink to themed restaurants, cafes and bars.
